DCES Philanthropy

Community Outreach is a rewarding experience that involves coordinating various donation events throughout the year to help families in need, as well as any other volunteer opportunities as they arise. DCES has been paired with Tavan Elementary School, which is designated as a Title 1 school, to help support their needs and participate in their donation events.


Typically the main events we coordinate are:

  • August - School Supply Drive & Gently Used Clothing Drive (also including hygiene products)
  • November – Thanksgiving Food Drive


We work heavily with the Community Specialists in the district, as they best understand the needs of their communities and have relationships with the families. Most of our Outreach includes staying in contact with our Community Specialists, checking to see what they need, and how we can contribute to their events.
