Mrs. Mills First Week Update

Dear DCES Families,
We are so proud of our cubbies and how well they did this first week of school. Our cubbies have been learning daily routines and school expectations. They even learned a stop, walk, and talk strategy for conflict resolutions with their peers. It has been wonderful to see students back on campus, and we look forward to a magnificent year!
I have a few reminders that I would like to share.
First, Arrival/Dismissal- We appreciate our families' patience with arrival and dismissal during our first week of school. As a reminder, the south entrance is only for students that live in the neighborhood and walk to school. Please take the time to review this chart closely to ensure the safety of our students.
Important Dates:
- Curriculum Night, Tuesday, August 9
K-2 4:00-5:00 pm
3-5 5:30-6:30 pm
- Student Picture Day Friday, August 26

Gifted Teacher Update:
Mrs. Zygmunt, our gifted teacher's first day, will be Friday, August 12. Mrs. Byrnes, our DCES permanent substitute, will teach our gifted students until Mrs. Zygmunt starts on Friday.
